Battle of the Bands

My son’s school had a battle of the bands type competition during the week. A number of student bands played and a winner was decided …not sure how (audience acclaim? music teacher judgement?).

I was thinking today it would be funny if a bunch of kids just got on stage and randomly made noise …total improvisation, and just kept going and going, total anarchy. Wonder how the school authorities would deal with that?

Kinda like The Birthday Party, that wonderful band from the early 80’s. I love the music, it is just so confronting, but most of my friends just thought it was a tuneless racket.
