Welcome to 2006

Happy New Year …. welcome everyone to 2006.

In Canberra last night we had nothing as spectacular as the fireworks that Sydney had (above), but there was a 70’s style disco in Civic Square which was apparently well attended.

Update: its now after midnight on 2/1/06 (yay, I remembered, usually I’m still dating things I sign at work as the old year for several days into the new one), and its so frickin’ hot. Too hot to sleep properly. That cool change the weather bureau’s been talking up better come through tonight.
