Technology upgrades
I upgraded to 1.5mb ADSL yesterday, and moved off Bigpond. My new ISP gives me 3 times the old speed (was 512kb) and bigger download limits (and doesn’t include uploads in the limit) for the same price as Bigpond was charging me. (Not that the cost particularly worries me … work pays for my broadband connection at home.) Woo hoo …. the speed, the power!
Also got my Foxtel changed over to digital this morning - not by choice but because the analogue set top box had died, which couldn’t be repaired or replaced. Now I’ll be able to see what all those extra channels (that I didn’t think were worth paying for before) are like.

*Green with envy* Now if only I could get work to pay for my connection…

There is of course a downside to work paying for it. Its not a charity, and the reason for it is so I can work at home which I do usually a couple of days a week, but also so I can if needed, do work at nights and on weekends.

Can you really tell the difference in speed? I changed to the same speed a while back and it was barely noticeable!
Must be the phone lines in my exchange.
