Skin and bones = attractive?

Good on Penelope Cruz for speaking out against all those teen magazines that push the image that girls and women need to be ultra-thin to be attractive. She objects to the unhealthy role models they portray.
Specifically she said:
“I would close down all those teenage magazines that encourage young girls to diet. Who says that to be pretty you have to be thin? Some people look better thin and some people don’t. For example, I look better when I have three more kilos on me than I do now. The influence of those magazines on girls as young as 13 is horrific, at 13 you are still a child.”
Couldn’t agree more. I can’t see how women with their ribs poking out are particularly attractive at all. For example, Nicole Ritchie:

or Keira Knightley:
I actually think women with a bit of flesh on them look much better than really skinny ones. I want women who look like women not with bodies like young boys. It escapes me how super thin is supposed to be the be all and end all of attractiveness. Hollywood is especially bad with this … how often do you see really nice looking actresses when they started, become really gaunt and sickly looking, if not just outright strange - the “big head on a stick” body shape is not a good look!
PS - just above Nicole Ritchie’s bikini bottoms in the photo above, that is a tattoo, not some feral pube styling.

On the way the attractive women are made to look like young boys, I don’t think it’s accidental. It will sound as thought I am a hater, which I’m not, but I think that a lot of homosexual men are involved in fashion and their tastes influence things.
We don’t see robust, matronly, zoftig, or even slightly chubby stars very often. It’s all the waif/little boy look.

Personally, I have never found skinny women that attractive. My preference definitely leans towards those with curves.

Somehow I believe that Keira is just naturally skinny but Nicole? Brittany Murphy? Not so much:(

God, those are sick girls. That is not thinnes, that is a bad bad eating disorder which drives to death. It is disgusting how society pushes young girls to diet…. what about health?????? :’(
