I know some curries can be rough on you

…. but is that something you want to highlight when naming your restaurant? This one was in the Akihabara district in Tokyo.
I got back today, flying from Seoul yesterday via Tokyo and into Canberra this morning. While I got a bit of sightseeing in Tokyo, on the weekends either side of the work stuff, didn’t get to see much of Seoul except the hotel and the office.
Some of the stuff I did and noticed in the last few days in Tokyo and Seoul:
- saw a wedding in progress at Asakusa shrine - with the couple in traditional costume
- ate sashimi at a restaurant in Omotesando
- more expensive drinks after - the drinks cost more than dinner
- saw riot police everywhere on Sunday night in Seoul city - there seemed to be some sort of protest going on, so we steered clear of it
- Seoul has been overrun by Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme since I was last there in 2003
- ate at a Korean/western “fusion” restaurant - interesting menu (I grabbed a copy and intend to blog about some of the strange food ideas they had - it was bizarre).
Oh, and one more thing - who is the genius who convinced hotels to have a telephone next to the toilet in hotel rooms? I want to know.

Great photo! Maybe all restaurants should apply such honesty in their names. Then at least we’d know what we’re getting in to.

I love those quirky Japanese signs! I took photos everywhere I came across them in Tokyo.
I saw a traditional wedding at Meiji Shrine in Harajuku, a small and quiet intimate celebration. I imagine it would have been more flamboyant at Asakusa.
Never mind phones in toilets, what about the toilets themselves! I gave them their own post!

I love the restaurant name! In the 70’s I lived in London, and for about 2 years lived on Indian Take away food, I know all about the Run Run’s hahahahaha
