Broadband - the new utility
Broadband internet is becoming so important for business that it can be regarded as a new utility comparable to water, electricity and heating, according to the UN.
So why then is the government, Helen Coonan in particular, content that Australia should be happy with the internet equivalent of a diesel generator and a well?

lol, and under a privatised Telstra, the political impetus to improve broadband availability just won’t be there.
Maybe I should move to a First World country, like Singapore…

I’ve just done some research on Broadband. It’s not actually a new utility but a very fast means of accessing the internet and is becoming more common.

I wish I could say that here in Bali.
*Broadband* as they call it is max 128K and horrendous expensive.
Keep it coming!
Cheers,
