What a man!
US country singer Troy Lee Gentry pleaded guilty to illegal hunting charges in Minnesota. He shot, with a bow and arrow, a tame black bear called “Cubby”, the big game hunt taking place inside a 3 acre enclosure on a private property.
Prosecutors alleged that Gentry paid Sandstone hunting guide Lee Marvin Greenly $4,650 to shoot the black bear. It was also alleged that Gentry’s taking of the black bear in October 2004 was videotaped and later edited to appear as though Gentry killed the black bear in a “fair chase” hunting situation.
Now, personally I think all hunting of animals is barbaric, but shooting a tame bear inside a small paddock really does take the cake. Why not just sedate it, tie it to a tree and shoot it like that? Wow, big tough man! (I wonder if rohypnol forms part of his dating repertoire?)

I always run from animal cruelty stories on tv, but I accidently came across a clip on the net of someone shooting a bear up a tree. It plummeted to the ground. I was awful.

Hunting for the purposes of eradicating pests is one thing; hunting to prove to yourself how manly you are is the act of a true dickhead.
