Someone really wanted him dead
Alexander Litvinenko, the former Russian spy who died in London recently, clearly had some major league enemies. According to UK police investigating his death, the polonium 210 that killed him would have cost more than $US10m.
Several of his friends have blamed the Russian government, specifically president Vladimir Putin, for his death, but the Kremlin has repeatedly denied any involvement.
