Eat less do more exercise

Rather than suing the airline for charging him for a second seat because he was too fat for one, Jean-Jacques Jauffret might usefully spend his time doing more exercise and eating better.

I hate it when a fat person sits next to me on a plane and overflows into my seat. The seats are small enough as it is, without someone else taking a share of the seat I’m paying for. And while I’m at it, I also hate when the person in front of you leans their seat right back, taking up much of the miniscule space you have in the first place.

  2. You just inspired me to do another cardio workout and lay off the second helping of turkey.

  3. I completely understand where you are coming from, but, from may I respond from the point of view of the man in front of you. Sat in front of you, I have paid good money for that seat, and I fully expect to be able to recline my seat into a comfortable position. Please don’t blame me, blame the carriers who cram far too many seats into planes, thus risking the health (DVT) and sanity of their fare paying customers.
I for one refuse to travel with budget airlines because of their complete disregard for the wellbeing of their customers.

I once asked Ticketek to move me because I could NOT sit comfortably in the seat i paid for at the footy. The lady beside me was full on half in my seat so i could not put my own arse in my own seat. GAH!

  5. Hi Steph - welcome back. Hope you’re recovering from your injuries well.

Andy - I agree its largely because of the airlines. I swear everytime I fly Qantas domestic, they’ve figured out a way to somehow fit in an extra row of seats. I’m tall, so flying economy is not fun for me at the best of times, but having a large person next to me, or the person in front reclining into my space just makes it even worse.
