Very original
This has got to be the most original reason I’ve ever heard of for a rugby league player to quit professional sport. Brian Carney today announced his retirement from all forms of the game to go to university and complete his Masters degree.
Very impressive, given most football players you see or hear interviewed give the distinct impression of not being able to string 2 words together.

I thought it was fairly decent of him to pull the plug before the season started. Maybe there are some human RL first-graders out there.
