Tickets on herself?
Tarisai Vuche, who got the flick from Australian Idol last night, gave the judges a huge spray.
She clearly has an inflated view of her own importance, saying God would judge them if they believed what they said about her.
Umm, no, don’t think so. Can’t imagine your god would give a rats arse about one mediocre performance in a sea of mediocrity.

I am so over that whiny attention-seeker. Her voice is good, but her performances overall are kind of boring. Even if she was fabulous, she still wouldn’t measure up to how fabulous she thinks she is.

You are right that she knew she was good. She’s the best singer in the competition, and is better than any of the singers that has ever been on the competition in its 5 year history. The only comparable singer that I can think of at that stage in their career (i.e. before they’d released a single) is Mariah Carey. Its a tough one to say who was better, as we didn’t see Tarisai sing a Mariah Carey number. She was the best, she knew she was the best, and she wouldn’t let the judges tell her she wasn’t. All was good while they were praising her, but as soon as they picked a single tiny fault, she couldn’t handle it. Partially because she knew that they were wrong, and partially because she didn’t think it mattered. If you listen to her songs all the way through, except for the first 2 rounds, she kept something in reserve. In the last round she sang as hard as she could, but of course by then the verdict was in.
Its hard to be that good and keep your mouth shut about it. Its little wonder she said her meek little “thank you” each time. I would have too if I was half as good as she was, and competing against the no hopers like the ones that were in the competition with her.

Sire, I could say I only watch because the kids have it on in the background, but alas, I do find myself paying a bit more attention than it deserves.
Canberra is great, and thats despite the pollies.

As I’ve said before, ugly people should learn their station in life. She’s far too up herself for someone so ugly. She should be far more obsequious, servile and all those other words that describe how ugly people should behave - how she should behave!
