Militant dentists?

One of the defences advanced by Jackie Kelly for her husband’s stupidity over the racist leaflet was  that:

“He hates the unions with a passion, my husband.”

I also heard on TV something to the effect that the unions had stuffed him around many times, hence his hatred of them.

Mr Kelly (ie Gary Clark) is a dentist.  Those union dentists must be a militant lot!

Remember the ads that had a dentist spruiking toothpaste or toothbrushes (I think?) - “we can’t show you his face”.  The Clark/Kelly family is obviously looking for some extra cash, as he’s been auditioning for a part in them.
