Are spammers getting really lazy now?

Just found this in my spam box for my gmail account.

Honestly, I’d buy whatever it is you’re trying to sell me, whoever you are (the picture doesn’t show it but it was from “unknown sender”) , wherever you are.

  1. Hey! I wanted to thank you for the review on link ref. I took what you said to heart and tried to fix what I thought the problem was.. I hate slow loading blogs and sure dont want mine to be one of them :-)

    ps~ my gmail account gets so much spam its insane. 1,000!! eh… its because ive had it so long (even before it was open to the public) and used it on to many surverys and junk. I would switch accounts but I have to much to switch right now :-)

  3. I don’t get much spam mail at all. Not that I miss it but my filters must actually be working for a change.

  4. Yes they’re lazy.
    Back in my day… my inbox would be full of junk from BraddPit wanting to sell me some viagra.
    Now I just get pathetic 1 liners of “do you know this company?”
    They just don’t try anymore….

  5. Steph – yes, I don’t get much except in my gmail account. The other addresses I use hardly get any.

  6. What they’re doing is checking to see which email accounts work – we scambaiters do this with the scammer email accounts too.

    If you send an email to an email address and you get the right kind of bounce, you know the account is dead and therefore not worth spamming.

    So not to worry, they’ll be trying to sell you something later. :) Start saving up! rofl

  7. Snoskred – I never reply to spam. Difficult, however to resist all those tempting offers for viagra, penis enlargements and to help out some unfortunate Nigerian (plenty of other countries have them as well I notice) trying to get a lazy few million out of the country. But,we must stay strong.
