Cloverfield

We saw “Cloverfield” last night.   I liked it – even if I felt queasy in the stomach almost all the way through it.  And thats nothing to do with gore or violence or anything like that.  The gimmick of this movie is that its shot to look like a home movie shot on a home video camera.  The jerkiness and sudden cuts between scenes take some getting used to, and it feels like a bit of a rollercoaster ride.

Well worth seeing.

    1. I hate that style too. My daughter has started making movies on her camera and my phone. I can excuse that, but paying to see it, no thanks. My wife had to shut her eyes for long sections of the latest Bourne Identity movie.

    2. You have GOT to be kidding me in that you liked this movie. Besides the fact on how it was shot – and I watched Blair Witch and wanted to puke – but it was supposedly a knockoff of like a Godzilla destroying NY. No way can that have been entertaining and in fact some of the people who I know have seen it said it bit. I’m gonna go watch The Eye tonight with Jessica Alba and then Strange Wilderness tomorrow for a laugh.
