Pointless exercises

Many government and judicial inquiries are a complete waste of time and money …motivated by a desire to either fob off decision time until the inquiry runs its course, to be able to fall back on it to justify hard decisions, or to be seen to be doing something.
The inquiry in Britain in the UK into the death of Princess Diana takes the cake in the list of most pointless and wasteful enquiries. I mean, even if she was murdered by MI6 on the orders of the Queen and Prince Philip, does anyone actually believe that the inquiry is going to find that was the case? Except perhaps Mohamed al-Fayed, who seems to have completely lost the plot.

Similarly, I just spent 15 minutes of my life listening to yet another governmnent inquiry into might have REALLY happened in the John Kennedy assasination. These experts agreed that we don’t know how heads should move when hit by a bullet because we haven’t seen many people get shot in the head….?? My tax dollars at work!
We’re also wasting taxpayer’s money with the government investigating the use of steroids in baseball here.
The Diana fiasco absolutely bores me to tears, it is such a waste of time and money.
I myself have been wondering why the Brits are having this big look into Diana’s death. It is totally pointless! She is gone, it is not going to bring her back, and it was just a car accident.
