When I was growing up we had 2 letterboxes stolen. They had timber posts concreted in the ground and both times post, concrete and letterbox went. We found them a few days later at the oval up the road, with a few other letterboxes too. Bloody annoying though I’m sure people just do it for the annoyance value.
