Wonder how many howls of protest will go up when the government brings in the card where a portion of social security funds can be accessed only by a plastic ATM type card and can only be spent on food items, clothing etc for children. They won't be able to use the money for alcohol or cigarettes or drugs. These cards will be linked to parents or care givers who are negligent, abusive, drug and or alcohol dependent. Yay, the government has done the right thing in this case and the people in this particular case should be one of the first on the list. I noticed yesterday an article about the number of kids killed in cars and most of the causes were incorrectly sized restraints.
