My bank account numbers are publicly available for anyone to make a deposit, please do so, but victims must have done more than just give bank account numbers and actively approved withdrawals. I don't have much sympathy. While I don't think it is the task of banks to protect people from themselves, I am a bit surprised that they sit back and let the obvious happen. I know banks are hot on overseas money spent when their customers travel overseas. I am a bit sceptical about this money lost to overseas story. It is odd.
