230,000

Well, another 10,000 visits to this blog, 93 days its taken, which is a couple of weeks longer than the previous 10,000 took.

Major drawcards in those 3 months included:

  • the usual major one, Hermione (Granger) nude
  • a late run for Shayda Bastani Rad and her associations with the Ibrahim brothers and friend
  • the Gypsy Jokers
  • pussy of various ages – 10, 12, 16, 17 and just plain “old”
  • that great fashion statement, the mankini
  • pedo sex, and 10 year old sex – yep, the freaks are still out there looking
  • how to tell if you’re drunk – my guidance is that if you can no longer find your mouth to pour the drinks into, thats a good sign you’re too drunk to keep going
  • Australian made, and Canberra porn – nothing to do with me I can assure you
  • good old Rosleigh Rose, Schapelle Corby’s mum – have I mentioned before that Schapers is as guilty as sin in my opinion

Let’s see what the next 10k visits brings me.

Oh shit! Why you don’t keep your money in your mattress

Its hard to think of much bigger an “oh shit!” moment than an Israeli woman would have had.  She bought a new mattress on Monday and threw out her old one.  Fair enough.  However, on Tuesday, she remembered she had hidden her life savings inside the old mattress – she claims the amount is more than a million dollars.

By the time she realised, the garbage collection had already taken it.  Searches at three separate dumps turned up nothing.  One of the dump managers confirmed she was desperate and his staff were helping her, but said with 2,500 tonnes of rubbish arriving every day, the mattress would be impossible to find.

Oh shit!  Lesson for this lady – while our banks may be bloodsucking leeches with all their fees and charges, it beats doing your money because you had all your money stuffed in the mattress (you know what they say about financial strategy, diversify, don’t put all your eggs in one basket …does stuffing it all in your mattress count the same as that?)

She needs to change her taste in men, I think

Shayda Bastani Rad (the brunette in the photo) was sitting in a car with her boyfriend the other day, when a gunman shot him 5 times in the stomach, chest and arm.  She was also shot during the attack, in the leg.  Bad luck for her, you’d think?

Shayda Rad

But it turns out a former fiance of hers was also shot, dead in his case, in 2006.

And it gets more complicated still.  Her current boyfriend is Fadi Ibrahim, brother of the notorious Sydney (dodgy?) nightclub owner, John Ibrahim.  In the past, he has been the subject of hundreds of police intelligence reports. Ibrahim has consistently denied the allegation put to him during the Wood royal commission in 1996 that he was the “lifeblood of the drugs industry of Kings Cross”.  He has never been convicted of a crime.  Another brother, Sam, is a former chapter president of the Nomads motorcycle gang.  Another brother, Michael, is in jail for killing a man.

Even more interestingly, Shayda was previously engaged to a close friend of Fadi Ibrahim, Faouzi Abou Jibal.  Abou Jibal was shot dead in 2006, apparently in reprisal for the killing Michael Ibrahim is in jail for.  Abou Jibal was said to be the one who actually stabbed the victim in that attack to death.  2 Ibrahim cousins are also in jail over that death.

Court records reveal Ms Bastani identified the knife used to kill Mr Nassour as the one she purchased on eBay as a gift for her fiance in December 2005.  A source close to the family said yesterday Ms Bastani was suffering nightmares after Friday’s shooting.  “She is freaking out,” the source said. “She is a nice person, a young girl. She is petrified.”

Maybe so, but she really needs to be more choosy with her men.  Perhaps using a criteria other than their flashy wealth might be a starting point?  She may be nice and all that, but surely she can’t be so naive as to not have at least an inkling of where these guys are getting their money from?

Oh, and when I first saw this story, before any of the victims were named, man shot while sitting outside his house in his Lamborghini, just screams out car bought with drug dealing profits – mind you, I see any young guy driving a flash car and I assume drug dealer.

Things I liked in New York

Here’s just a few.

The Chrysler Building – stood out from all around 42nd Street where I stayed for the first 2 nights in NY.

The Guggenheim Museum – fascinating building and has great artworks on display.

The parks – especially Washington Square.  I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of greenery in the city, and the fun being had by people using the various parks.

Of course, how can you go to New York without visiting Liberty Island?

And finally:

M&M’s World – 3 floors of M&M’s and M&M related products.  I’m fascinated that there is a market for all this stuff, but it was very busy when I was looking around.

Swine flu

Got this from someone at work today – I love it.

swine flu

Poor Piglet!

Poor Ian, too … I’ve developed a raging attack of the sniffles since last night to go with my jet lag from my trip to New York.  I trust its not swine flu, just a result of going from cold to hot to cold and wet in a week and a bit.
